The Consular Section is in
charge of issuing visas to intending visitors to Nigeria.
Visa types include tourism, business, and employment. The
requirements for the various categories of visas are available
on this site. Visa application forms can be downloaded on
the site. Application for and collection of visas can be made
on all days of the week, Mondays to Fridays between 10am and
1 pm.

- The Consular Section also issue Passports and other administrative
documents to eligible Nigerian nationals in host country.
Details of the requirements for obtaining these documents
are available on the site. Nigerians are received at the
Embassy for consular services all days of the week, Mondays
to Fridays between 10 am and 2 p.m.
- The Consular Officer, in the course of his duties, regularly
undertakes visits to hospitals, prisons, airports, immigration
offices, seaports and other relevant places in protecting
the interest of Nigerian nationals.
- All Nigerian nationals, visiting or resident in host
country or countries of concurrent accreditation, (Peru,
Chile and Uruguay) are advised to register at the Embassy
or ONLINE on arrival.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSPORT REISSUE (NEW PASSPORT BOOKLET) |

- The Passport booklet to be replaced must either be 10 (
ten years) old or must have run out of empty visa pages.
- The holder of the passport must have Residence Permit (DNI)
in Argentina or any of the countries of concurrent accreditation,
(Peru, Uruguay and Chile) and must bring the original plus
photocopy of this document.
- The applicant will fill the appropriate form, which will
be given to him/her at the Consular Office.
- Two Passport size photos of applicants
- A fee of US$150= (One hundred and fifty Dollars) in cash.

YEARS)

- Parent’s (Father or Mother)/Legal Guardians original
passport, plus photocopy of the information page.
- The applicant will fill the appropriate form, which will
be given to him/her at the Consular officer.
- Original and photocopy of Parent/Legal Guardian’s
Resident Permit (DNI) in Argentina or in (Peru, Chile and
Uruguay)
- Original and photocopy of child’s birth certificate.
- Two passport size photos of applicant.
- A fee of US$150= (One hundred and fifty Dollars) in cash.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSPORT RENEWAL (EXTENDING BOOKLET
LEAF)

- A Passport Renewal Form, which can be downloaded here or
obtained from the Embassy, must be completed.
- Original and photocopy of Residence Permit (DNI) in Argentina,
(Peru, Chile and Uruguay)/valid visa or travel documents for
non-resident Nigerians.
- Passport must be at least 5 (five) years old.
- A fee of US$30= (Thirty dollars) in Cash.

REQUIREMENTS FOR REPLACEMENT OF LOST NIGERIAN PASSPORTS

- Letter, through the Embassy to the Comptroller General of
Immigration, Abuja Nigeria, stating the circumstances of the
loss of the passport.
- Completion of two copies of form C1, particularly Section
13.
- Production of the information page of guarantor’s
valid Nigerian Passport and two copies of guarantor’s
valid Nigerian passport and two copies of guarantor’s
form (p.21) duly sworn before the Commissioner of Oaths at
the Nigerian Embassy.
- Production of a police report clearly stating the loss of
the Nigerian Passport.
- Production of a Sworn Declaration of the loss of Passport
before the Commissioner for Oaths of the Nigerian Embassy.
- Production of Birth Certificate or sworn Declaration of
Age in a Nigerian Court or before the Commissioner for Oaths
of a Nigerian Embassy.
- Production of two recent studio-taken passport photographs
(which must be endorsed on the reverse side by the Recommender
who must be a Nigeria.
- Original and photocopy of Residence Card (DNI) in Argentina
( or Peru, Chile and Uruguay) as applicable.
- US$500= (Five hundred dollars) refundable deposit. The deposit
is only refundable when the passport reported missing is found
and produced. Evidence of payment (photocopy of receipts)
is required.

- Valid Flight ticket.

- A US$60= (sixty dollars) in case payment for the ETC.
